Which one.

My heart says this one.

My head says this one.

Oh what to do!

Neither !!! The most dangerous vehicle on the road.
Stewart, having lost one of my children, take it from me....please.

Definitely your heart, not your head.
Olive is right though, they are dangerous, but, if it was me, I love that bike at the top..

Thanks Olive, I'm sorry for your loss. I think it's cars that are the most dangerous vehicle. I can't remember the last time two bikes collided with each other. But I do agree with you. That is why I have left it until know. I have a life shortening disease so if I'm going out I'm going out my way with a great big cheesy grin on my face.

Rolley, I have visions of myself hating the Yamaha but trying to console myself with thinking that I had made the smarter decision but if I had the Triumph I think I could put up with it's short comings knowing how much I'd love riding it around. So I think your right.

Are you going through some kind of mid-life crisis or something?

Just wondering ...

Oh, and go with the heart. I tried the head, it doesn't make you happy.

Having said that, the risks these days are just too high for me for bikes. I agree it's the cars that are dangerous, but that's the problem, there's just so many of the darn things on the roads!

Go with the heart, get the Triumph. My hubby got his dream Harley sportster last year, he is in love with it (his new vehicular mistress) he came off in the first month (riding in slightly wet conditions, going a bit wide round a corner, but slowly, he only had a few scrapes and bruises) so now is very careful and only rides when it is fine and definitely doesn't speed.

Hi Deb, yes I think the heart is winning and as for mid life crisis you might be better to think bucket list. Ever since we talked about climbing Kossis I've been doing a list of all the things I was 'gunna' do but never have. It's turning out to be quite a long list. One of them is to ride to Cape York and the other is to ride the great ocean road, so I need a bike that will do on and off road work. Then there is Birdsville, Camerons cnr, Lake Eyre etc, etc.

Hi Pip, Thanks for the feedback, I bet hubby was embarrassed. I'm hoping common sense and good luck will keep me alive long enough to do what I want to on the bike, so wish me luck everyone.

Did you win the lotto or somethin'? Sell your daughter? Rob a bank?

My Veggie Garden said...

Long term goals atm, but looking for ways to shorten the term. I could sell the daughter, or rob a bank. Lotto yeah, in my dreams. But selling the house is at the top of the list atm. I don't want to get to the stage where it's all too late and I can't do anything.

Heart! Heart! Def. follow your heart on this one. I had a Honda CB 250 had the same lovely retro feel to it (heavy as all hell - the frame was steel so I couldn't lift it if I dropped it). I do miss riding - gave it up years ago for the comfort of a car. And yes, it is very dangerous, as cars just don't look out for bikes.

This design is incredible! You most certainly know how to keep a reader amused.

Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved
to start my own blog (well, almost...HaHa!) Great job.
I really loved what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it.
Too cool!
