yum. if i have some to spare i will do this. im thinking im much more likely to plonk home made pickle on a plate as a side than some store bought muck!

Hi Mandy,
It's now 8 foot tall but I have pinched out the growing tip. No idea why it's so tall except that's it's growth habit, there's nothing special about soil or position. It is full of fruit though, got to be happy 'bout that, :-)
Hi Kel,
My dad would say "it doesn't even come within a bulls roar". Lol I always loved that one.

Hi wildside, Thanks.

Great looking pickle stewart. Ours is nearly ready to eat now. I don't even like the stuff ie: beetroot OR pickle! I am hoping home made pickle will taste so much better than shop bought that it will change my mind!

Beetroot and Australia go together like Vegemite and toast. I read somewhere Australia is one of the highest users of beetroot in the world.
If you do make it fresh give it a week or two for the flavours to blend with the vinegar, it gets better with age.
