Compast potato.

So what do you do when there is a potato growing in your compost bin?
Bung it in the ground of course.
I am a little worried though because I didn't get the seed potato that it started from. But there was the beginnings of a root system so I gave it plenty of water before it went into shock and now I'll just have to wait and see.

Cool huh?

Use to have this happen all the time. Hasn't happen in a long time though. Is it ok to plant out a potato that has start sprouting in the pantry?

Yep, sure is Jason. The only issue is that some potato viruses can be imported into your garden this way but if you don't replant in the same bed for 3 years all will be ok. I do nearly all mine this way.
