I love basil but I never seem to have much success with it - and every bug known to mankind seems to descend on them : (

So my question: would this method work with store bought basil which has usually been grown hydroponically or do I need to buy myself a plant from Bunnings and have a go with that?

Cheers. Angela - Happy New Year!

Hi angela, that is an interesting question and I think store-bought basil should work ok as long as it looks healthy and not wilted.

I might try myself and see how I go.

Sorry to hear you have so much trouble getting them to grow.

Cheers and Happy New year to you!
