Getting there.

Well it's been over a week now since my operation and, touch wood, each day is a little better than the one day before. I'm not strong enough to get out in the garden yet but after 160 mls of rain (another 40 this) morning I'm chomping at the bit.
After living with and trying to understand my disease for the last 6 years I feel like a blank canvas that needs some masterful artistry performed on it. I have two or three paths I can go down from here but might just sit back and see which one pulls on me the most.

Operation Reversal.

Oh well, I knew it was going to happen sooner rather than later. It’s what the Doctor calls a reversal.
That’s where they reconnect my colostomy back up to the J-pouch they formed when I had my first surgery.

What does this mean? Well I won’t be riding or gardening for a few weeks while I recover, not that there's been much gardening being done anyhow, and I won’t be needing to wear a colostomy bag anymore, yeah.

So if all goes well it should be all plain sailing for me from hear on, the only unknown is how dependent I will be on knowing how far away and where the next toilet is.

Anyways on that positive thought,

Driest Ever February

Our wettest month, February, of the year has turned out to be the driest ever.

Cloudy. Rain developing late in the morning. Possible heavy falls in the west, extending throughout from the early morning. Scattered thunderstorms. Winds north to northwesterly 15 to 25 km/h becoming light in the late evening. Overnight temperatures falling to the low to mid 20s with daytime temperatures reaching the low 30s.

Where's ya chillie bin?

Although we received 75mm of rain here a few weeks it's still dry as chips so consequentially I'm continuing to downsize until the season changes into something that looks like it might rain on a semi regularly basis.

 But having said that, the chillies are going gangbusters as you can see.

And I've been getting a little help from Mr. Aquasol. Not a 100% organic but of all the 'organic sins' that can be committed this is a minor one.

I'm back in black

Oh boy oh boy oh boy oh. I've been so frustrated for so damn long but I'm back.
The old PC finally died and has forced me to get a new computer. A laptop this time so now there's no excuse not to post any veggie updates. 
Just off the top of my head I'd like to say it's been a bloody hard season. Hot and  dry, hot and  dry but after last weeks 75mm I'm looking to get started on the Autumn/Winter garden.
So until then, it's cheers from me.
