Four from eight

Sorry in advance, but round these parts there is only one kind of footy and that's Rugby League.
Just for the fun of t I thought I'd post my picks for the week and see how I go.
Your welcome to join in through comments or bag the crap out of me for supporting NRL, as long as it's all in good fun.

ROUND 9
May 9-11

Broncos v Sea Eagles .............. Broncos
Cowboys v Dragons ................. Cowboys
Knights v Titans .................. Knights
Roosters v Storm................... Storm

I thought this (tipping) would be a walk in the park but I'm finding it really hard.

Every week every game could go either way and I buggered if I know which way to go as you might be able to tell when I can only pick 4 from 8.

Anyhow with all the byes this week at least there is only four games but they are all 50/50 games to me.

I'm currently ranked 1635 out of 3252 tippers on the ABC Grandstand AFL & NRL Footy Tipping http://tipping.abc.net.au

Wk. one. 135 out of 2211
Wk. two.
220 out of 2531
Wk. three.
893 out of 2945
Wk. four. 1970 out of 3113
Wk. five. 2016 out of 3179
Wk. six. 1594 out of 3216
Wk. seven. 1550 out of 3232
Wk. eight. 1635 out of 3252

I've gone for the Titans and Roosters differently this week. Managed 5 from 8 last week so I've shifted up a couple of hundred places in the last few weeks. Still abysmal though.

Not really excited about Origin yet (needs to get a bit closer), just thought I'd leave the comment to start winding you up :-). I know the first match is here but the Origin 'fever' doesn't really happen down here in Melbourne. Which is a shame because I used to love getting together with friends and discussing (amongst other things) whether it really would be unfair to dye the cat maroon. All in jest I can assure you!

I don't know anything about Rugby league ! We are having garlic problems, have you heard of garlic rust? I have done a post about it so if you have time to read it your advice would be most welcome.

Hi Peggy, definitely looks looks rust to me.
there is several things you can do.
First is remove the infected leaves.
Second is apply sulphate of potash at a rate of 20/25g per sq/mtr, this helps harden tissues and improves resistance.
I can't tell how close your plants are from your photos, but they need to be at least 20cm apart so you may need to thin them out a bit.
next you can spray your plants and the surrounding soil with a sulpher based fungicide or zineb every two weeks or after rain.
Last, spread a fine dryish mulch over your soil to help stop any rust spores reinfecting your garlic.
Good luck Peggy and I hope you can still get a crop from them.
Let me know how you get on.
And definitely no extra nitrogenous fertilizers.

I was curious if you ever thought of changing the page layout of
your blog? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.
But maybe you could a little more in the way of content
so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot
of text for only having one or two images. Maybe you could space
it out better?

Hey there, I am new to blogging and internet sites in general and was wondering how
you got the "www" included in your web address name?
I see your domain name, "http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=7677496750939268931&postID=8433528282788122518" has the www and my domain
looks like, "http://mydomain.com". Do you know just how
I can change this? I'm using Wordpress platform. Thanks for your time

Have you ever considered about adding a little bit more than
just your articles? I mean, what you say is important and everything.
But think of if you added some great visuals or video clips to give your posts more, "pop"!
Your content is excellent but with images and clips,
this website could undeniably be one of the greatest in its
niche. Very good blog!
