Towel Day is an annual celebration on the 25t h of May, as a tribute to the late author Douglas Adams (1952-2001). On that day, fans around the universe proudly carry a towel in his honour.

I think this sounds FABULOUSLY SILLY! I have never heard of this, obviously I live under a rock. Will be hunting down my favorite towels for this. I am going to look like an ASS probably.

WEll well well now it all becomes clear...my birthday is the 20th may which makes me exaclty 30 years older than your daughter. And I thought I was the only one in the immediate universe who carried a towel on towel day. Who says you need a babel fish to understand what is being said to you soemtimes you just know the people you talk to "get it".
