A flower a day for September. #2

The ubiquitous African daisy.
That's a Pelergoniumn not Geranium
Here's the second instalment of Flowers for September.

I still haven't left my back yard yet and after nearly 100mm of rain in what is typically our driest month of the year everything is looking absolutely fabulous.

It certainly is an exciting time of the year with buds bursting every where.

The promise of fresh peas in their pod uummm.

I had to sneak a veggie in here somewhere. Radish that'll be ready in a week or two.

Cheers and bye for now,

Stewart

I love african daisies.
I had planted some on my verge, but the council showed up before they flowered and whipper snippered everything down to the soil *cry*

The infidels, how dare they.

I was mighty upset :(
A few years ago I asked them to come and do my verge and they said they didn't do verges outside private properties. So that year I sprinkled the entire verge with poppies and planted daisies (regular) and african daisies as edges. When everything was coming up to flower time the council guys showed up in our street and buzzed it all ... all I was left with was the regular daisies (3). So, the upside is that I was at least left with something...

Hi again Deb, How long have you got? I'll put up a special post just for you and see if I can sort it out.
