4 eggs

Up around these parts we have a beer called XXXX, but when I went to feed the chooks this morning I had something even better than XXXX and that was '4 eggs'. (ha ha ha, do ya get it, XXXX, 4 eggs, it's early, it's the best I can do)

Way to go girls, thank-you very much. The scrambled eggs for brekky are much appreciated ;-] though I don't think they'll be reading this anytime soon.

While I'm here I'd also like to say today is the most splendiferous day ever, well, that is until the next one.

On their way now.

Well here is the sum total of my knittingness.

A while back I posted about Knit One Save one and here is all the squares I've finished.

14 in total, which doesn't sound a lot when you say it like that, but there is a fair bit of my blood sweat and tears (slight exaggeration there) here.

Postage seemed steep. It cost $11.00 to mail this little sucker to Melbourne.

New shoes

My feet have been killing me in the old joggers I have been using for walking in and making the whole experience horribly unenjoyable. I suspect they are half a size to small and have been pushing my big toe back into my foot and causing heaps big pain.

So with what money I had managed to save up I went shoe hunting and after much research and consultation I came up with these.

They are from Hi Tec and are basically a heavy duty sand shoe great for day walks. As I become more accomplished as a walker/hiker I'll need to up grade to a sturdier boot but for now these will do me fine.

So far I have found them very light and comfortable (hardly know I've got them on). In just the few short walks I have done since I bought them my feet are very happy with my choice so far.

The chorus in this song says it all ;-)

Cheers and until next time,

April, the month of the Hibiscus

During my Autumn ambling I was enthused each time I went for a walk to find all these, and more but I was camera less for a while, beautiful Hibiscus in flower all around Toowoomba.
And so it is that by 'royal decree' I here-by declare April, the month of the Hibiscus, in Toowoomba.

I've posted a few more Hibiscus flower photos over here

Bring it on.

Bring on the japonicas. I don't need much encouragement to go for a walk at this time of the year, but with the Carmelia japonicas coming into flower it's a walk in the park.
